Calling all foodies! On 12th September, Kirkcaldy will be hosting a Food & Drink Fair with chef demonstrations, food stalls, kids cooking workshops and all FREE in the Atrium, Fife College, St Brycedale campus .
The Fair is part of the Kirkcaldy’s Adam Smith Festival which celebrates the globally renowned 18th Century economist, philosopher and political pioneer.
Brought to the town in partnership by Kirkcaldy 4 All and Fife College – the fun will start at 10am with a full programme of cooking demonstrations from the College’s well-known chefs, including TV Chef Eadie Manson, plus Scottish ‘Master Chef -The Professionals 2014’ winner, Jamie Scott showcasing his skills. In addition Chef Tom Pratt from The Waterfront restaurant in Kirkcaldy, will be cooking up a storm for all to see and then Chris Trotter, Fife’s Food Ambassador, will be hosting a demonstration with public involvement – so bring your apron!
There will also be a number of stalls from local businesses, offering free tastings and their products to buy, ranging from makers of jams and chutneys, homemade cakes, microbreweries with a selection of tasty ales and other Fife specialities.
There will be also be a series of Kids’ workshops offering cupcake decorating, healthy burger making and other food education activities, so there will be something for all the family.
The day promises to offer a great time out for all foodies and will close at 5pm.
