During November, there will be FREE lantern making workshops every Saturday in the Mercat Shopping centre so you can make your very own festive lantern to take part in the magical lantern parade through town on Saturday 28th November (details below).
Details of the workshops:
When: Saturday 7th, 14th & 21st November 2015.
Where: Old WEST COAST unit in the Mercat Shopping Centre (opposite Superdrug)
Time: 10am - 5pm
On Saturday 28th November 2015 the magical lantern parade will be returning. The lantern parade will move through the town led by Drumatik, the fantastic marching band, ending in the Town Square with a special unique and spectacular choir performance by local school children. This year, each school choir group will have their performance filmed and this film will be the centrepiece of the lights switch on event as it will be projected on to buildings in the Town Square. Family and friends of the school children will be able to see them in their full glory! Then the skies of Kirkcaldy will be alight with a fantastic firework display to mark the beginning of Christmas in Kirkcaldy.
Enjoy the festive atmostphere with some festive Christmas carol singing with the Salvation Army Band and Christmas music and entertainment with local radio station Kirkcaldy 107FM!
Mark the date in the diary! A great festive family event.
